<description>The press operators of the Journal de Montréal on strike since last June did not return to work last Sunday evening (October 22) as provided in their collective agreement which expired at the beginning of the year. The employer decided to decree a lockout in violation of the job security agreement signed in 1983 by both parties. By virtue of this agreement, the employees were expected to return to work after 20 weeks of striking. </description>
