<title>Members employed by CAA on strike</title>
<link>http://www.teamsters.ca/en/news/465/members_employed_by_caa_on_strike</link>
<description>Teamsters Members employed by CAA (Canadian Automobile Association of North and East Ontario) at Local 91 brave the cold and extreme temperatures against pension issues and classification reductions. Members employed at the 2525 Carling Office of CAA walked out yesterday at 12:01 a.m. on a legal work stoppage. Teamsters Local 91 has been trying to reach a contract for months now, and the Company response has been consistent and founded in new employee sponsored pension contributions (where the Company fully made the contributions previously) and a loss in wages due to re-organization of classifications. Even the cold was not a deterrent in the decision to brave the legal picket line and stand tall for the gains attained through previous contracts. Any support for these Members is greatly appreciated. Nobody wants a strike, but no one wants to lose income or have their pension altered, values that are simply the very foundation of the organized labour movement. </description>
